Resumen de Vectoraster
Vectoraster es una utilidad gráfica para crear medios tonos vectoriales personalizados o efectos rasterizados animados basados en imágenes importadas o elementos dinámicos como gradientes, texto o campos de ruido.
Los patrones de medios tonos y las formas de puntos pueden ser cambiados y variados a través del patrón para producir muchos estilos diferentes. El efecto resultante siempre se muestra, con la vista previa actualizándose en tiempo real a medida que cambias los parámetros. El resultado puede ser fácilmente exportado como vectores a archivos SVG o PDF, como imágenes a JPEG, PNG o TIFF, o simplemente copiado y pegado en la mayoría del software gráfico.
Con Vectoraster 8 ahora también puedes animar todos estos efectos para crear transiciones, fondos de video u otros efectos para usar en tus proyectos de diseño en movimiento. El resultado puede ser exportado como archivos de video MOV o MPEG4 o una secuencia de archivos pdf o de imagen de fotogramas.

This looks like a great app that I'm really interested in. I don't want to turn my comment into flame-bait, and I know this is really nit-picky...but why can't people use proper English anymore? It drives me nuts! Does the average user not actually know that "Will Vectoraster work good on macOS..." is incorrect? it should be "work WELL on macOS...". Pet peeve (just like people who don't know the difference between "lose" and "loose") and I normally hold my tongue. It's just that everywhere I look, the average user's literacy is going down the toilet. I always believed the MacUpdate users were better educated than the average. Sorry - my next comment will be a review of this software, which looks very useful...

If you are looking for creating great vector raster images you should try Vectoraster. It is a great and especially different way to create raster image artwork. I already tried PatterNodes by the same developer and like it because you think and create differently than you would do using (traditional) graphical apps. But be warned, you will create nice vector artwork and I am sure you will want to use and buy Vectoraster. The developer is very responsive too. You can download the trial from the website.

From the web site:
"A new small update (v 6.1.0) of Vectoraster was just released a few hour ago, and sent out through the update system. However, unfortunately it seems something was wrong with the file and the updated app didn’t work for some users. For now we’ve rolled back the version to 6.0.9, so if you’re having problem with the new version you can just download the old version again. We’re now investigating what has gone wrong, and we’ll re-release the version as soon as we fix the problem. Sorry for the inconvenience."

I've only tinkered with this for a few minutes, and already I'm certain to make a purchase next payday! The other programs I've looked into either require an up front purchase from the MAS (with no demo) or are well beyond my price range.
The fact that this author provides a demo (with restrictions on the image, understandably) went a long way toward enabling me to determine who is going to get my money! Thanks, developer!

Every time I launch 5.1.1 it tells me that I need to run Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later. I am on 10.6.8. Time to contact dev.
